Details:
It's been almost 10 years since I've seen NLCs here in oregon and was suprised to see them tonight. At first they were hard to determine if there were just clouds reflecting off of the brightening moon but when I started to really look at them and the fascinating waves and structures I knew they were back. I raced to countryside to really see how vast they were, I expected a patch of NLCs but they stretched the length of the whole horizon, it was impressive but soon the moon light started to win and they faded away before even setting. Hopefully though this is a taste of what is to come in this early NLC season
