Details:
One of only a few people outside on deck, not sleeping or in casino, on an Alaskan Cruise ship at 1:30AM local time, I was delighted to witness a gorgeous noctilucent cloud display hovering over twilight! The Sun was about 10 degrees below the north horizon and it never really got dark but the luminescent clouds guided our way into Juneau. I was perched high up on a forward hot tub deck with tripod and camera in the wind to capture these images. My first ever view of noctilucent clouds I put right up there with the excitement I felt spotting whales, orcas and Mola mola before sunset!
