Details:
Flying from Los Angeles to Munich, we had a nice display of noctilucent clouds. As I was taking pictures of them, I started noticing a bright band at the top of the photos. First I thought it was a reflection from the inside of the plane, but quickly realized that northern lights were joining the NLC! These two images capture that rare coincidence of two space weather apparitions!
