Details:
The Noctilucent Clouds season is coming to an end but last night I got to see my first Noctilucent Clouds for the season up here in northern Sweden (Lat. 63°). It was a very calm night and the NLC was quite bright so I went to a small lake close by. Sadly the NLC season here up north is really short. Last year I saw my last NLC on the 12th of August during the Perseid meteor shower.
But the end of NLC season marks the beginning of the Aurora season. On that very same night last year, 12th of August, I also saw my first Aurora during the Perseid, so hopefully that cosmic hattrick will be visible again this year.
