Details:
On July 18/19 NLC showed up once again in the Edmonton area, but the display was very low in the sky. This picture was taken at 0210 local time with the Sun 15.3 degrees below the horizon, close to the 16 degree limit of solar depression for NLC visibility. The NLC are only about a degree above the horizon! Note the stars of the constellation Auriga at the upper right.
