The evening was very clouded so there was no chance to see NLC. However I was hoping for the sky to clear up before sunrise, so I set up my alarm at 3:15 AM. After swearing against it a couple of times, I stood up and looked through my living room window, which faces north. Clear sky, and the beginning of an NLC display! I immediately drove to my favorite photo spot just outside Nijmegen (the Dutch town where I live), and the display grew higher and brigher. It even displayed some clear, well organised waves! (contrary to last Tuesday's display, which was brighter, but more "messy"). It is now 4:40 AM while writing these lines, time to go back to bed! Have a nice weekend everyone! Mine surely started very nicely :)
