Details:
After a late diner out, I checked out the northern horizon from my living room. Luckily I live just above the rooftops of the old town of Nijmegen in the Netherlands. I immediately recognised the electric blue of the noctilucent clouds. This display was extremely bright, and was the first this year to be so visible! I immediately drove to a location outside the city to be able to take photos without too much light pollution, and when I got there, I was rewarded by this amazing display. I even took a close-up shot at 200mm to really show the structure of these high altitude clouds.
