Northern Hemisphere summer, noctilucent clouds south to Vancouver. The past year, we have been watching the noctilucent clouds, and finally able to see tonight.

Way to go, John, what a spectacular display, and absolutely gorgeous photos! From Edmonton this was a rapidly-evolving display. It started close to local midnight and even at about 0300 local time it was pretty low in the sky. I shut down at about that time estimating the maximum elevation at about 6 degrees. Not far away, fellow NLC observer Mike Noble kept on observing, and witnessed the jump in elevation, in fact well past the zenith! No wonder you were able to see NLC...
