Details:
A bright display of noctilucent clouds persisted through much of our short night, on June 26-27. I first saw them about 1 am and was able to capture them at 3 am. The form was an arc across the north, somewhat like an auroral oval. There was a slow east to west motion to the structures in the clouds. As we enter the post-solstice season, NLC activity usually picks up. But catching them usually means losing sleep!
