Got super lucky with the timing of my very first shot of the day. Nikon Coolpix P600 with ND5 solar filter foil. One step back from full zoom, f8.0, 1/500sec, ISO-100. All four pictures come from this single shot -- the last one being the original without cropping or changes to contrast/brightness.

How about some pictures of the transits of Venus that happened in 2004 and 2012? Those are much rarer, and in fact there was not one in the whole 20th century, and there will not be another pair until the 22nd century, eight years apart as is the usual case.
Rarely, there is only one transit instead of a pair of them.
