Details:
Today Spring in the southern hemisphere was heralded in with the Sun showing a spectacular detatchment of one of it prominences. The size and shape changed rapidly and within an hour virtually became invisible. The accompanying photos were taken with a simple Canon S120 camera hand held at the eyepiece. No fancy equipment needed! Camera set on M mode using 640ISO, 1/50s with H-alpha Coronado filter on a Vixen 102mm Fluorite refracting telescope.
