Details:
A night after the grand display of Jun 3/4, another NLC display showed up over northern Alberta on the 4/5. This one was much fainter and less extensive. The view in the photo is just before the NLC disappeared; visually, there was only a patch, but the camera brought out more details. Note the stars Pollux and Castor just above the NLC, and Venus, nearly setting, off to the left. Sony A65, 50mm lens, ISO 400, f2.0, 1.3s exposure, 0045 local time.
