Details:
After weeks of rain and cloudy weather I finally saw the Sun today :-)
There were two very active prominence’s going off on the western limb of the Sun this afternoon and another smaller one on the western edge. This smaller one became very bright and then faded in a matter of minutes; it was probably from AR2317 as it rotated out of view.
Both Sunspot groups AR2320 & AR2318 have active regions all around them, and there are a couple of lovely filaments on the surface…lots of great things happening on the Sun today :-D
My images were taken with a Lund 80mm solar telescope and a 127mm refractor telescope with a solar filter attached to the lens. Images were taken with a Canon 700D with a 2x barlow lens, images were stacked in RegiStack6 and processed in PS CS4.
