Details:
In 2008 I saw the last half of the Venus Transit as the sun rose over Northwest Ohio. From NW Ohio 2012 I saw the first half of the Venus transit. Cloud cover for the June 2012 transit was iffy. Scattered clouds made for some interesting shots. Our group was excited that we would be able to see the Sun and Venus set over Lake Erie. Just by luck the Jet Express passed through the field of view. There was no solar filter used for this shot. Venus is clearly visible on the face of the sun.
