Comet Lovejoy
Taken by Jeremy Gilchrist on January 20, 2015 @ South Hero, VT It was cold and I didn't stay out there long, but I tried to capture the comet with a Nikon D300 at 20 sec exposure, 2000 ISO. Unfortunately it is not nearly as good as most of the shots here because even at 20 seconds you get star trails without a tracking telescope or some sort of tracking mount. In the image you see Pleiades, a passing satellite, and the comet.
