What is shown is a dozen stacked images, deconvolution, and then photoshop adjustments to attempt to get some detail out of the coma and nucleus of the comet. An inner and outer coma is seen with the outer being deeper green. Note background stars can be seen shining through both inner and outer portions of the coma showing its relative transparency. Image details, Nikon D800, ISO 5000, 13 sec exp., 180 mm F2.8 Nikon lens mounted on an iOptron Alt AZ mount.
