Details:
This is a recap of Comet Lovejoy during 5 consecutive nights of clear weather. This unprocessed image reflects used iso's between 5000 and 8000. Thus the reason for the excessive noise. Details for each panel can be viewed at the top. The purpose of displaying these side-by-side images is to easily show the dramatic date-to-date changes to the comet's inner structure. From left to right: Jan 18, 17, 16, 15, and 14.
