Details:
Comet tail and background depend from place and seeing ! Of course ! I see more fantastic images of Lovejoy taked in Arizona, New Mexico, Australia, Chile and other fantastic places for astronomy. Lucky observers from this location. I remember that captured, from Atacama desert a fantastic Rho Ophiuchi Nebulae only with 5 minute exposure while in Italy, from mountains exposure time was 45 minutes with a non perfect background. This Lovejoy composed image was captured from a sky rich of pollution light with a 75mm lens, Canon 600D for a total time of 3minutes and 20 seconds. Cropped image.
