Comet Lovejoy
Taken by Jun Lao on January 16, 2015 @ The Cincinnati Astronomical Society has its headquarters at the edge of the Mitchell Memorial Forest. After our regular monthly meeting, I took some images of the comet from the parking lot, where tree branches helped frame the comet and the Pleiades. Tripod-mounted Nikon D7000. 13 second exposure at 50 mm f/2.
